The Pregnancy Support Services of Hamilton (PSSH) is a pregnancy care centre located in downtown Hamilton. We provide education, caring support and give practical assistance to women and their partners as they face important decisions about their unplanned pregnancy and sexual integrity. Our services consist of pregnancy options counseling, post abortion recovery workshops, post adoption grief counseling, male mentoring, a clothing room for maternity and children's clothing, and a community educational program, S.H.A.R.E.. PSSH offers an environment where people make a difference in the lives of women, men, families and students in our community.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Executive Director and overseen by the Treasurer of the Board, the Administrative Office Manager includes but is not limited to the following:
 Administration Management  Financial Support  Fundraising and Communications Administration support

Objectives & Responsibilities of the Position:
Administration Management
 Responsible for client database intake, maintenance and management.  To greet and screen clients calling or coming into the PSSH for services while the office is open  Answering the telephone, directing phone calls to the appropriate person and taking messages  Schedule appointments according to the guidelines and procedures of PSSH  Perform opening or closing duties  Tidy and clean centre as needed  Financial tasks as required by the Treasurer and Book Keeper  Assist the staff with any clerical duties with attention to detail, as needed

Financial Support
 Data input and support for Income Tax receipting  Assistance with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis

Fundraising and Communications Administration
 Assist Community Affairs Manager with fundraising events as needed  Responsible for updating, ongoing maintenance and management of website, social media

 

Other Details:
 Reports to Executive Director  15 hours per week  Salary: to be discussed

Qualifications: The ideal applicant should:  Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord  Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position.  Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, and policies of the center  Be able to respect and keep information confidential  Possesses strong interpersonal communication and problem solving skills  Have well developed computer skills and able to demonstrate proficiency or rapid learning in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media, MailChimp, and some graphical design software  Possess well-developed organizational abilities with a keen ability to attend to and manage details and ensure accuracy of work assignments in routine clerical duties and special projects  Be able to perform routine clerical duties with attention to details  Be a self-starter, accountable, dependable and committed to the ministry 
