  Posi�on Overview
  The Ethiopian Evangelical Church (EEC) in Toronto is seeking a dedicated and spiritually mature Pastor to
  serve as the primary shepherd for the English Congrega�on at EEC. This role involves preaching,
  pastoral care, ministry oversight, and leadership development under the guidance of the Senior Pastor.
  The ideal candidate will be deeply rooted in Scripture, passionate about discipleship, and commi�ed to
  nurturing a diverse, mul�cultural, English‐speaking congrega�on.
  Key Responsibili�es
  Preaching and Teaching
   Deliver biblically sound preachings and teachings.
   Lead discipleship ini�a�ves, Bible studies, and Chris�an educa�on programs.
  Pastoral Care and Counseling
   Provide spiritual guidance, prayer, and counseling to individuals and families.
   Conduct/coordinate home and hospital visits, fostering a culture of compassion and community
  care.
  Church Administra�on and Ministry Oversight
   Collaborate with staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers to grow the English congrega�on.
   Support church opera�ons in alignment with policies and bylaws, promo�ng good stewardship
  and organiza�onal excellence.
  Vision and Leadership
   Develop and implement a strategic vision for growth, discipleship, and outreach.
   Equip members for leadership and service inside and outside the church.
  Theological and Doctrinal Alignment
   Affirm and uphold the church’s statement of faith and values.
   Engage in ongoing theological training and personal development.
   Work in accordance with the church’s bylaws and in harmony with the leadership team.
  Community Engagement and Evangelism
   Lead local and global outreach efforts.
   Be inten�onal in reaching out to church visitors and put in place a Christ‐centered system for
  follow up.
   Build rela�onships with the broader Toronto community and represent the church publicl
   Embrace the church’s mul�cultural congrega�on.
   Honor the Ethiopian Evangelical Church's heritage while serving the English ministry with
  cultural sensi�vity and relevance.
  Personal and Family Life
   Demonstrate a healthy, balanced family life and provide godly leadership at home.
   If married, encourage the spouse’s ac�ve involvement in church life and ministry.
  Qualifica�ons
   Demonstrate a clear calling to pastoral ministry and a Christ‐centered life marked by prayer,
  integrity, and spiritual maturity.
   Meet biblical qualifica�ons for church leadership.
   Degree or diploma from a seminary or Bible college (or willingness to enroll in theological
  educa�on).
   Proven pastoral experience in preaching, teaching, counseling, and leadership.
   Strong interpersonal, communica�on, and organiza�onal skills.
   A servant‐leader heart and a passion for shepherding people.
   A lifestyle that models Chris�an maturity, community involvement, and worship par�cipa�on.
