Administrative Assistant- $14-16 to start
nanaimo, British Columbia , V9T 1W6
This position starts at $14-16 per hour with approximately 20 hours per week. You will be hired on a contractual basis. Hours are flexible.
The primary duties include but are not limited to:
*answering phones, filing, data entry and general office duties *responding to requests for various information and preparing necessary correspondence * maintain, manage and update databases, excel spreadsheets, CRM’s *keeping social media up to date and uploading appropriate blogs et al *typing of various documents; filling in forms; preparing various reports *preparing feature sheets and other advertising materials * locating and uploading information for team website, as well as listing information *responding to inquiries on internal appointment/message program.
Qualifications are as follows:
* available weekdays and occasional weekends (we are flexible with hours) * reliable, responsible and adaptable * able to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently * excellent customer service skills * strong communication skills - listening, written and oral skills * prefer advanced proficiency in MS office, (word, excel and presentations) * proficient on social media sites like facebook, twitter, instagram * able to work on team web site adding articles, fine tuning articles etc.. * works with little supervision and handles a heavy work load when required as work flow does vary with seasons * related experience an asset but we are willing to train the right candidate * professional and friendly phone manner
Job location: Nanaimo, BC
Required Education: High school or equivalent
Required Experience:* Prefer 1 year office experience/administration AND *some customer service type work
