The International Academy of Suriname is a modern Pre-Kindergarten to grade 12 school that is Christian in philosophy and education, providing an American-style education in English. Students are primarily from the expatriate community and represent many different cultures and religions.

Situated in the capital city of Paramaribo, IAS employs about 35 people including faculty to serve the approximately 125 students who attend. The school is proud of its gymnasium and boasts of the largest English-language library in the country.

Suriname is located on the northeast coast of South America about 5 degrees north of the equator.
