Snowdon Baptist Church Ministry Opportunity for Lead/Senior Pastor

Snowdon Baptist Church, a member of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada, is a warm and caring multicultural body of believers that has been sharing God’s love since 1941.

 

In the heart of the vibrant bilingual city of Montreal, approximately 200 people from over 30 nations, predominantly from the Philippines and the Caribbean, gather weekly for the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.   SBC is in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, a multiethnic neighbourhood with a strong English-speaking population.

 

Throughout the week, regular Life-groups as well as Wednesday night prayer meetings are held to encourage discipleship and fellowship among the congregation. Oasis, the children’s ministry, and SYM (Snowdon Youth Ministry) meet Friday nights to help our young people develop a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. On Sunday mornings, Junior church as well as Sunday School classes for children of all ages and adults are led by lay leaders and deacons.  The worship service reflects both a contemporary and a traditional musical style, through the use of modern praise songs, hymns, and a variety of instruments.   Additional ministries include men’s and women’s ministries, a missions committee, a worship ministry, and an outreach team.

 

The current church staff is comprised of a Youth Pastor and a part-time Administrative Assistant.   The pastors are accountable to the Board of Deacons, which is elected by the church members.
