Position Description

Harbour Ridge Camp

Harbour Ridge Camp is nestled in 250 acres of prime waterfront property located in Ontario’s Prince Edward County. Harbour Ridge Camp shares its property with Wesley Acres Christian Retreat Centre and Campground and is surrounded by quiet trails, gentle wildlife, and the world-famous Sandbanks. Harbour Ridge offers camping programs for children and youth ages 7-16. This summer Harbour Ridge will be offering overnight camps that run from Sunday – Saturday.

The dates for the overnight camps are as follows:

Overnight Camp #1: July 8-14 (ages 7-13)

Heroes Camp: July 22-28

Overnight Camp #2: July 29-Aug 4 (ages 7-13)

Teen Camp: Aug 5-11 (ages 13+)

Wilderness Camp: Aug 12-17 (ages 12-17)

Harbour Ridge also has day camp programs for youth ages 7-13. The camps will run Monday – Friday.

The dates for the day camps are as follows:

Day Camp #1 – July 2-6

Day Camp #2 – July 16-20

Day Camp #3 – July 23-27

Day Camp #4 – August 13-17

Our summer camp programs strive to give kids and youth an outdoors experience that will focus on building relationships through interactive games and activities, as well as an experience that they will remember for a lifetime.

Our Mission:

Harbour Ridge is a Christ-centered summer camp focused on planting and nurturing seeds of a spiritual life through engaging children, youth and their leaders in active and fun experiences, which develop a sense of community and growth.

Transforming lives in Christ through experiences that impact campers and staff.

Camp Activities Include:

Archery, low ropes course, themed games and activities, gaga ball, human foosball, crafts, chapels, wide games, campfires, trips to the sandbanks swimming, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and so much more!

Summer Positions:

2 Month Positions (July and August): Female Unit Leader, Male Unit Leader, Day Camp Unit Leader, Senior Cabin Leaders, Cabin Leaders, and Life Guards.

Qualifications:

 

• 16-17 years of age (for Cabin Leader & Lifeguard positions)
• 18+ years of age (for Unit Leader, Senior Cabin Leader, & Lifeguard positions)
• Post-secondary education an asset
• Committed Christian
• Love for children and youth
• Enjoyment of the outdoors
• Servant Leaders

Start Date:

June 11, 2018 or June 23, 2018 (Depending on role), until August 31, 2018.

Monthly Wage:

Male Unit Leader, Female Unit Leader: $400.00/week plus room and board.

Senior Cabin Leader: $250.00/week plus room and board.

Cabin Leader: $200.00/week plus room and board.

Life Guards: $300.00/week plus room and board.
