Pastoral Intern Job Description:
The Pastoral Intern will be able to serve with their gifts and help Citizens Church accomplish its vision to see people come to know and be changed by Jesus. The Pastoral Intern will also receive training and serve in various pastoral responsibilities of the church, all in an eff ort to provide a learning environment for vocational ministry.

Position Details:
● This is a paid position for 20 hours per week. ($20,000 annual)
● The contract is for 12 months (may be extended).
● Starting and ending dates are negotiable.
● Work hours will include some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:
● Demonstrate a passion for Christ in all areas of life.
● Independent, motivated and self-directed.
● Strong interpersonal skills, collaborates well

● Basic understanding and appreciation for Citizens’ vision, values and goals.
● Agreement with the Citizen’s Statement of Faith.
● Fulfi ll all the requirements of Citizen’s Child Safety policy prior to their start date.
● Complete required employee training.
Responsibilities & Accountability:
● Participate in the life of a local church to gain experience at Citizens Church.
● Assist the Lead Pastor and ministry teams in organizing and leading discipleship and events related to the church.
● Specifi cally, oversee Sunday Gathering service plans and teams. Supporting team leaders and working with pastor over service elements and execution.
● Preach approximately 4-6 times per year..
● Meet weekly with the Lead Pastor to discuss and evaluate developmental goals over the course of the internship.
● Fulfi ll any other responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
● Participate in any ongoing Seminary/College classes as needed.
