Job Type Full-time

As a Child and Youth Worker at The Well, your primary focus will be connecting with and mentoring the teens that come in, during after school drop in, special events, and discipleship programs such as Youth Alpha. Throughout the day, while the students are not there, you will also help to create, plan, and promote different programs and events, such as fundraisers and game nights. The Well also has a coffee shop which you will be trained on so as to be able to host our different guests, make high quality specialty drinks, and use our POS system. The purpose of the coffee shop is to meet community members in a neutral and friendly way, to welcome them into our community, and to raise money for the Youth Center, as all revenue goes back to the charity as a fundraiser. Throughout the season we also will have programs for all ages, which you will be a part of. One example is a Summer Day Camp, which will require oversight and preparation, as well as hands-on work such as counseling or running a craft station. You will be working with a team, with a consistent mentor/supervisor who has over a decade of experience, and have to both supervise and be supervised by different people. You will have opportunities to lead and speak publicly, mentor youth as a big brother/sister figure, plan and organize recreational events, weigh in on and execute marketing campaigns, work as a barista, and help maintain the cleanliness of our space. This job is sponsored by the government of Canada, you must be legally able to work in Canada, and be between 15-30 years of age.
Email resumes to or drop them off Tuesday-Friday 8am-6pm or Saturday 10am-4pm at 18b Woodward Ave, Blind River ON.
