The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Digital Literacy Facilitator to support participants in achieving their goals along the pathway to meaningful income. Reporting to the Workforce Development Training Supervisor, this role will develop curriculum and provide digital literacy training to equip participants to adapt to ongoing technological advances in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate digital literacy training workshops
- Remain current with technological advancements in the workplace
- Continuous assessment of participant digital literacy training needs
- Review and revise digital training offerings in consultation with supervisor
- Plan content and schedule training cohorts
- Design and utilize digital needs assessments
- Maintain data on digital literacy training and participant progress
- Communicate with Workforce Training Supervisor regularly
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education combined with workshop facilitation experience
- Strong Computer literacy skills including proficiency in MS platform, troubleshooting, website navigation
- Familiar and comfortable with technology- assisted platforms e.g.MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meets
- Experience facilitating in a setting where there are a variety of learning levels amongst the participants
- Experience in tutoring
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to offer programming in english
- Ability to give clear instruction based on Participant needs
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills strong assessment skills Experience working with marginalized communities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search within the past 12 months
- Demonstrated personal commitment to YSM’s principles of faith, mission and values
Compensation: YSM offers market competitive rates and will pay a starting salary of $45,991.62 for this role, combined with a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks.
