The successful candidate will be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who aligns with Hope Bible Church. This role builds a culture of Biblical Soul Care and discipleship by leading biblical counselling, overseeing Small Groups Ministry, and providing pastoral care at Hope Bible Church Markham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Biblical Soul Care (BSC):

1. 1. • Develop and implement the BSC model, including recruiting and training biblical counsellors.
      • Oversee, equip, and manage the BSC team, ensuring effective leadership and support.
      • Provide direct counselling for complex cases, including intensive 1–2 day sessions.
      • Maintain or pursue a recognized Biblical Soul Care certification.

• Small Groups Ministry:

1. • Provide oversight for Mixed Small Groups, including staffing and leadership.
   • Recruit and develop coaches who will care for the Mixed Small Group leaders, equipping them through teaching, training, and leadership multiplication.
2. Preaching and General Duties:
   • Lead special classes, preach, and manage other assigned duties as needed.
   • Conduct weddings, funerals, and visitations as needed.
   • Develop and manage the yearly budget for the ministry.

Time Commitments:

• Dedicate 15 hours per week to counselling and coaching, with additional time for intensive sessions as needed.
• Required to attend all weekend services, special services, and churchwide events.
• Availability on weekends and holidays.

Reporting Structure:

• Reports directly to the Lead Pastor.

This role requires a shepherding heart, strong leadership in Biblical counselling and small groups, and a commitment to equipping leaders for ministry.
