Our Church

St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church is a vibrant community in the heart of Simcoe, Ontario that strives to live and serve according to the purpose God has ordained for us. Our mission is to be a witness to the transforming love of Jesus. We glorify and enjoy God together by discovering and using the gifts God gives us to share the love of Jesus in worship and in our community.

We do this by rooting ourselves in the Bible, the written witness to God’s presence among his people. We believe that this written witness directs us to Jesus Christ, who is the living revelation of our heavenly Father. It is this same Jesus who enables us to connect to God through his saving grace, and through his gift of the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is present and active in his creation; God not only hears but also responds to prayer. Through prayer, we strengthen our relationship with Him, learn to recognize his voice, align our spirits with His, and call His healing and transformative power into particular situations.

Then, with a firm footing in God’s Word and discerning spirits responding to God’s guidance, we serve our community according to the needs we encounter and the strengths of the congregation. Through sound biblical preaching and study of the Bible we feed our minds, through prayer we feed our spirits, and through service in His name we condition our bodies. This threefold cord binds us to God and to one another.

All are welcome in our house of worship. There are no perfect people here; we who worship together are bound by our common need of grace and forgiveness which can only be found in Christ.
