Dorion Bible Camp is seeking a Camp Director to lead our year-round camp ministry in the Thunder Bay District of Northern Ontario. Dorion Bible Camp was established in 1946 to carry out the purpose of One Hope Canada to present the Gospel, particularly to those with the least opportunity to hear of Christ, especially to children and youth, and we disciple believers for living and serving through His church.

Dorion Bible Camp is located on Black Bay, Lake Superior, 80 km northeast of Thunder Bay. As well as being on Lake Superior ,we enjoy a meandering river running through our property. We have a beautiful piece of property. But more importantly, we have a huge need for the gospel to be presented to children and youth here in the Thunder Bay district. The needs are great. The gospel is greater.

Dorion Bible Camp, being without a director for some time, is in the position of finding someone with a start-up entrepreneurial spirit with a desire and ability to build fresh on a solid foundation. The local Christian community has been waiting with anticipation for your arrival. Are you able to build new relationships and reestablish old ones? Are you a visionary for what could be, combined with a passion for children to come to know Jesus, and young adults to grow in their faith? Then this might be what God is calling you to.

The role will begin with an emphasis on relationship building with churches, believers and the local communities that surround Dorion.  This role provides oversight of all camp operations, including programming, staff and volunteer leadership, and overall ministry direction. It’s a unique opportunity to combine vision, pastoral care, and hands-on leadership in the service of the Gospel through camping ministry.

We’re looking for someone with deep integrity, proven experience in Christian camping or ministry leadership, and a shepherd’s heart for both people and programs. You’ll guide and encourage staff and volunteers, collaborate with our board and help shape a camp environment where children, youth, and families encounter Jesus.

Strong leadership and team development skills

Experience in Christian camping, ministry, or nonprofit leadership

Program planning and organizational oversight
