Calvary Baptist Church Oshawa is looking for a full-time Family Ministries Pastor to join our leadership team.

The candidate for this position is a deeply devoted and committed follower of Jesus who is passionate about seeing God’s kingdom advance. Must be team-oriented with strong vocational ministry experience. Relevant post-secondary education is required. Bible College and/or Seminary Degree (or in process) is preferred.

The successful candidate will need to be an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and fully engaged in our ministry model. This includes a demonstrated commitment to Calvary’s values, mission and principles of Christian living including full agreement with Calvary’s Statement of Faith. The candidate will need to be eligible to meet the pastoral requirements of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada.

As an energetic pastor/teacher with dynamic leadership skills, this person will be responsible for providing pastoral leadership for our Children and Family Ministries. This will include developing vision and executing ministry plans to meet Calvary’s missional goals. This individual will provide pastoral shepherding to Calvary families with children including the development and execution of family discipleship strategies. With the direct leadership support of our CFM Associate, this person will oversee the development and execution of our CFM programs including Sunday Spark City, Tuesday Clubs and Children’s Outreach Programs.

Additionally, the role will ensure compliance with Calvary’s Vulnerable Persons Policy.
