Our Vision:

We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. As a church, our goals can be summed up in three words:

Know, Grow, & Go.

We are passionate about seeing people train to know Christ, train to grow in relationship with Christ, and train to go on mission with the gospel of Jesus Christ. To that end, all of our services, programs, and ministries have been designed to help you taste and see more clearly the treasure that is Jesus Christ. We are faithful to teach the Bible, in hopes that you would learn to apply its truths to your life.

Our Desire:

One of the ways we are seeking to accomplish this vision is through our family ministries. These ministries endeavor to help parents and children grow in their knowledge of Christ, their maturity in Christ and in their abilities and gifts in serving Christ. Not only will our parents and children know, grow and go but we hope that they will spread that vision to everyone around them.

The Scope:

The role of Family Pastor or Family Ministries Director will be determined based on age, experience, and qualification. This Individual will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of our Sunday School, Kids Club, and Day Camp Ministries. They will train and organize volunteers, teach in a variety of ways, plan and execute kids ministry special events, and bring their own giftings, passions, and ideas to enhance the ongoing practices at Emmanuel. They will also maintain personal relationships with the families of Emmanuel and seek to provide care and discipleship through other informal and formal endeavours. They will work alongside the Pastors and staff in other duties as required (Preaching, Visitations, Attending Training Conferences, Staff led events, etc).

Faith & Character

• This Individual must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ and actively following Christ with their lives. (Not perfectly, but directionally)
• They must display a commitment to the local church
• Preference will be given to those with a Bachelor or similar level of training in Family Ministry
• Must support and abide by the Statement of Faith of EBC
• The primary aspects of character we are looking for are: a deep love for Christ, humility, responsibility, joyfulness, servant-heartedness, and a passion for ministering to families.

Logistics & Availability

• Must have a current or obtain a police check on file at EBC
• Willing to abide by the EBC Plan to Protect Policy
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be legally able to work in Canada (ie. Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee protection)

Time Frame & Hours:

This will be a full time salaried position. Salary will be determined in the hiring process.
