Status: Casual as needed Hours and Rate: 10 hours per month, days/hours flexible, rate of pay to be negotiated Start Date: Immediately Application Deadline: Posting will remain active and interviews will be conducted until a candidate has been selected. Position Summary: Under the guidance of Matthew House’s Administration Manager, the Furniture and Move Coordinator will arrange for pick-up, storage, and distribution of furniture and appliance donations. The Coordinator will also make arrangements for volunteers and equipment to assist families as they move out of shelter and into their first home in Canada.

Key Responsibilities: Scheduling, organizing and coordinating volunteers, furniture, and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience moving furniture and appliances
  • Able to drive a moving truck
  • Ability to speak a second language
  • Experience working cross culturally and comfortable with diverse languages
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Ability to take initiative on projects.
