About Jamie and Emily Iles: Jamie and Emily have both been teaching for 15 years. They have both studied RCM with private teachers, and have a Bachelor of Church Music with a focus in Piano Performance from Heritage College. Emily took pedagogy coaching when she began her teaching career, and Jamie completed a Masters of Music Education from Western University. In addition to their music studio that launched in 2018, they are heavily involved in worship music at their church and supporting the music program at Heritage College and Seminary. 

Position Overview: Iles Music Studio is seeking a passionate Guitar Teacher to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have strong guitar proficiency and a commitment to teaching students of various ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality guitar instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels.
• Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and goals.
• Prepare students for recitals, exams, and other performance opportunities.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and goals.
• Participate in studio events and recitals.

Qualifications:

• Guitar playing proficiency
• Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and be reliable.
• Passion for music education and student development
