Statement of Faith

T H E  B I B L E

We believe the Bible to be the complete Word of God. That the 66 books as originally written, comprising the Old and New Testaments, were verbally inspired by the Spirit of God, and were entirely free from error. The Bible is the final revelation of God and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice, and the true basis of Christian fellowship. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21

G O D

We believe in God, the Creator of all things, who is holy, sovereign, and eternal, existing in three equal persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 4:35, 6:4 , Isaiah 43:10, 44:6, 45:5, 6 ,18 , 1 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2, Revelation 1:4-5

We believe in God the Father, who is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and of all believers in Christ and He is the Creator of all. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as true God and true man, who reigned in glory with the Father from eternity past, was co-creator with the Father and lived His life on earth just as the Gospels record. He was the promised Messiah of the Old Testament. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and His triumphant ascension to heaven where He is now seated at the Father's right hand - mediating between God and man. We believe in His future and visible personal return when he will reign over all forever. John 17:1, 14, Micah 5:2, John 17:5, Luke 24:44, Matthew 1:20, 23, 1 John 3:5, Acts 1:1, John20:31, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Ephesians 1:20, Hebrews 7:25, Acts 1:11, Daniel 7:13- 14

We believe the Holy Spirit to be God. We believe He is an actual personality, not simply a force. We believe in His ministry of the conviction of sin, righteousness, and of judgement. We believe His ministries of those who believe include: regeneration, sanctification, indwelling, illumination, comfort, counsel, fellowship, empowering, teaching, in gifting and interceding. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, Acts 5:3-4, John 14:16-17, 16:7-11, 13-14, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1:2, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19, 2 Corinthians 2:10-16, John 14:26, 1 John 2:27, Ephesians 3:16, 2 Peter 1:3, Romans 8:26-27, 1 Corinthians 12-14, Romans 12:5-11

S A T A N

We believe Satan is a rebellious angel, the ruler of the world who exists as an enemy of God and of the saints. We believe he is a defeated enemy and his judgement will be finalized at the end of time. We believe that demons are angels who followed in Satan's rebellion against God and they too are defeated. Revelations 12:17, 1 Thessalonians 2:18, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Revelation 12:1-9, Jude 1:6, Luke 10:18, Colossians 2:15, 1 John 3:8, Revelation 20:10, John 12:31, 2 Corinthians 11:14, 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Revelation 16:14, 2 Peter 2:4, Ephesians 2:1-3, Isaiah 14:12-14,               Ezekiel 28:11-1

A N G E L S

We believe that angels are spirit beings created to worship and serve God, and minister to the saints. Colossians 1:16, Hebrews 1:6-7, 14

M A N

We believe man was created by God in His image. We believe man was created to worship and serve God and enjoy an everlasting relationship with Him. Man was originally created perfect and sinless. Given a free will, he chose to rebel against God through disobedience when tempted. The consequence of this disobedience was complete and total separation from God - man's disobedience extends over all creation. Genesis 1:26-27, Ephesians 4:24, Isaiah 43:7, Ecclesiastes 12:13, 7:29, Genesis 3, Romans 3:23, 8:20-22

M A N ' S S A L V A T I O N

We believe that Christ died and shed His blood as the only acceptable sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins of all mankind. This salvation is free and everlasting gift of God and is entirely given apart from any good works or deeds. We believe that salvation is not forced upon all mankind, but that each individual is responsible to receive salvation by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Believing that He died to have their sins forgiven and took their punishment for sins and must accept His sacrifice as God's total provision for their redemption. Once this is believed and accepted the believer is made spiritually alive in Christ, his sins are forgiven, and that broken relationship with God is restored forever, never to be lost. John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 1:29, 3:16, Romans 3:21-25, 1 Peter 1:18-19, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Hebrews 9:14, Ephesians 1:7, 1 John 2:2, Revelation 1:5, 7:14, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Revelation 22:17, Titus 2:11-14, 3:4-7, James 1:18, John 1:11-12, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, John 3, 5:24, 6:50-54, Romans 8:15, 17, Ephesians 2:19, John 6:39-40, John 10:27-29

T H E  C H R I S T I A N  L I F E

We believe upon receiving God's gift of salvation the Holy Spirit personally indwells the believer and works out in us the new life of Christ. It is the responsibility of the believer to live by faith and in the yielded submission to the Holy Spirit's work of making him/her Christ-like - obedient to the Word of God and separated from the ways of the world serving the Lord.                   2 Corinthians 5:17, Titus 3:5, Romans 8:9, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 5:5, Galatians 5:16-25, Ephesians 4:30, Romans 12:1-2, Philippians 1:6, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, Ephesians 5:8, Acts 5:29, John 14:23, Philippians 2:12, Romans 8:12-14, Romans 6

F U T U R E  E V E N T S

We believe in eternal life and fellowship in the presence of God for believers and the eternal separation from God and punishment in hell for those who reject Christ. We believe in the personal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the final judgements, and a new heaven and earth under the eternal reign of the Father and Christ, the Son. John14:2-3, Colossians 1:5, 2 Corinthians 5:1-10, Revelation 19-22
