About our church:

Formosan Grace Christian Church is a Bible-believing, Christ centered church located in the east end of Toronto.  We are a non-denominational church with Taiwanese, English and Mandarin congregations. Our Mandarin Ministry is composed primarily with mature believers.

Description:

The purpose of this internship is to provide a seminary student with the opportunity to confirm and grow within the context of a pastoral calling. You will be required to participate in all aspects of the church’s ministries and will be discipled by the pastoral team for continued spiritual growth.

Qualifications:

• A discernible and contagious personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• A strong personal spirituality grounded in prayer, study, and worship
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Student at an accredited Christian theological college or university
• A willingness to participate and learn

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• To help structure and implement this internship in a way that fulfills your seminary internship requirements
• To support the work of the existing pastoral team and participate in teaching, preaching, prayer meetings, pastoral care, and fellowship
• To attend regular mentorship meetings with the pastoral team
• To help foster and encourage a spirit of unity both within the Mandarin Ministry and between the church’s different congregations.
