Elevation is a young, vibrant church in Waterloo, Ontario, where students, families, and people of all ages gather to celebrate God and the journey of life. We are currently searching for 2-3 people to join our staff as we enter an intentional season of growth, expanding our vision in the areas of Spiritual Vitality, Invitation, and Diversity. One of the specific people we are looking for is someone to join our pastoral team with the portfolio described below.

Our perfect candidate:

—Can identify their own strengths and has a willingness to share ideas, look to the future, and be a part of healthy church growth
—Has a passion for organization, delegation, and team leadership
—Will fit easily into our existing team, while also bringing something unique to the table

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be an implementer, helping to translate the church’s vision into goals and objectives, taking projects from the idea stage through roll-out. Candidates must possess the adaptability to guide a variety of teams and groups, and to help equip people in their place of ministry, encouraging the use and development of their gifts to build the church.

Qualifications:

A successful applicant will also demonstrate proficiency in and a passion for using social media and technology to expand our ability to connect with people in a variety of virtual contexts. Candidates must have an eye for detail and demonstrate a commitment to excellence. A degree or diploma in biblical/theological studies is an asset. This is a new position which we expect will include the following areas of oversight and development, with more details to be provided as part of the interview process:

—Social Media, Communications & Virtual Community
—Ministry Teams
—Spiritual Formation
—Community Groups

This position is considered a full-time role based on 30-40 hours per week, to be determined during the interview process.
