Description
Responsibilities:
- Plans, prepares and conducts worship services
- Evaluates worship services, particularly as they relate to various ministries within the church, such as children, youth, middle-aged and the elderly
- Develops and implements ways to enhance worship services
- Leads new member classes and Bible studies
- In consultation with the Management Team of Session, prepares agendas for Session meetings
- Moderates Session meetings
- Counsels, guides and assists church leadership teams
- Meets with people new to Central and visits congregants who are experiencing challenges
- Provides counselling to congregants and referrals when needed
- Consults with the Director of Music to ensure that the music program enhances all worship services
- Provides leadership in developing strategic plans for the church
