The leadership of Oakridge Bible Chapel (OBC) recognizes the biblically mandated responsibilities of the local church to both faithfully shepherd the people of God (1 Peter 5:1–4) and to identify, train, and prepare leaders for current and future ministry opportunities (2 Timothy 2:2).

Purpose of the position: To give a person the privilege of serving the Lord and this local expression of his church and, at the same time, to have guided opportunities for growth in ministry experience, development of ministry capabilities, and potential affirmation and clarity of future ministry direction.

Areas of responsibility: The primary areas of service shall be in assisting current church leaders in the areas of both youth and children’s ministries—planning, evangelizing, teaching, and discipling. However, as the purpose of the internship is the growth of the intern, opportunities will be given in accordance with their skills, interests, and perceived future ministry direction.
