RECEIVING SUPERVISOR
Mission Thrift Store Oshawa
Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Oshawa Mission Thrift Store is looking for a full-time Receiving Supervisor. The candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a management-type position, or similar senior lead role, with excellent customer service and ability to lead and train a broad demographic of volunteers.
The ideal candidate will achieve the following expectations:

- Exemplify an understanding that this is the first point of contact with donors and customers

- Prioritize tasks and multi-task with confidence

- Demonstrate a natural ability to lead by example – create a positive atmosphere and engage all volunteers and helpers to achieve daily goals and expectations
- Quality Control
- Ensure that all incoming items meet store standards and health & safety regulations
- Maintain garbage and recycling – minimize waste through all available recycling programs and maintain furniture standards to uphold our mandate to minimize impact on landfills (“Green for the Gospel”)
- Keep receiving area clean, tidy, and organized to ensure efficient time management, and maintain health & safety standards for work area
- Oversight of all recycling programs is essential, including organizing regular pickup schedules, keeping recycle areas tidy and organized
- General Requirements
- Track all materials and supplies, request as needed
- Perform all open and closing duties as required for the receiving and production area
- Ability to lift over 100lbs with assistance (equipment or staff/volunteer)
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills

This position will be on a weekly rotating schedule:
Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
Tuesday – Saturday: 9am – 5pm
