The Trenton Wesleyan Church (TWC) is prayerfully searching for a new Senior Pastor who will lead the church in living out its mission for fulfilling the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. Trenton Wesleyan’s mission is to love people into the family of God. We long to see our community, country, and world connect to God and one another. TWC holds dear – the Bible as God’s Word, the commitment to excellence in everything we do because if it bears Christ’s name, it deserves our best. We have a willingness to change and be flexible – the methods may change, but the message does not. People need the Lord.
TWC was started in 1965, and in the 57-year history of the church, God has blessed us with tremendous stability. There have been only four senior pastors. The church serves people from all across Quinte West and beyond. We’re a community of people on a journey to better understand what Jesus has done for us and wants to do through us. TWC values diversity: our church family is made up of singles, marrieds, families, teens, young adults, seniors, transplants from big cities, established Trentonians, believers, and seekers.
In February of 2017, Trenton Wesleyan Church relocated from a 1-acre property to a nine-acre piece of property in a new and fast-growing subdivision in an effort to reach more people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We designed and built a facility that more than doubled the square-footage of our old facility, which created numerous opportunities for new ministries. Since then, we have continued to see growth, both numerically (to a weekly attendance of over 600) and spiritually and have created new full—time staff positions.
Trenton is a large community in Central Ontario in the municipality of Quinte West, Ontario, Canada. Quinte West is located in southeastern Ontario, along the 401 corridor, between Toronto and Kingston. It is home to 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base Trenton.
