Working at camp can be a rewarding, exciting, fun and life-changing experience!
“I believe that above everything camp has taught me to be patient and to love others unconditionally. Camp is a place that I can put all my effort into others, knowing that there will still be people checking in with me. I learned about what qualities others see in me, as a friend, as a co-staff, or just in general as a leader which helps influence future career decisions for sure. In general, camp is a place I know I can be my true self and others will accept and love me. Ever since I started coming to this camp, I have wanted to be a cabin leader, working here this summer felt kind of like I was living a dream.” - Jenna R.
We are looking for great people to fill our staff team for the summer of 2021, those who have a desire to serve in a place that allows them to influence the lives of children, spend time outdoors, develop their leadership skills, explore and develop faith and build a safe and welcoming community with others.
We are a children’s camp located in Perth County, between Kitchener-Waterloo and Stratford. Our co-ed camp programs for children and youth ages 5-35 include swimming, rock-climbing, archery, music, low ropes, drama, nature exploration and much more. COVID-19 and Summer Camp 2021: Sometimes the best laid out plans get thrown out the window and we have to shift gears and pivot to back-up plans very quickly. We don’t think that this is a new idea, but it was quickly solidified by the pandemic we experienced in 2020. As we make plans and hire staff for camp in 2021 we recognize that COVID-19 is still having an impact on our world and may impact our programs and staff team going forward. The plans we are laying out for summer 2021 includes a back-up plan that allows us the flexibility that is needed to maintain the ability to run camps and hire staff. Our goal is to recruit and hire in such a way that we are able to follow through on our commitments that we have made to the individuals that will make up our staff team in 2021. If you have other specific questions about summer camp and our hiring practices for 2021, please feel free to contact our Program Director, Chris Pot, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
