Bramalea Baptist Church is a vibrant, passionate church that is serious about the truth of God's Word, the gospel of Jesus Christ and reaching the community around us.  We are a multi-generational, multi-ethnic, multi-language, loving church and we are looking for Worship Director to join our ministry team.

The Director of Worship is part time role (30 Hours) and is responsible for giving leadership and oversight to the overall worship ministry of BBC.  This leadership will include discipling and developing worship team, working with the Senior Pastor as well the technical and media director to organize and structure the Sunday morning worship service, being the main worship leader for most Sunday mornings, as well as leading weekly worship rehearsal.

Qualifications:

Spiritual

• Demonstrates a mature walk with the Lord and a commitment to His Church
• Exemplifies a lifestyle and passion for worship and submission to the Lord Jesus
• A burden to lead and see others grow in their worship and relationship with Christ
• A commitment to teaching/singing Christ centred worship songs, that are biblically sound and theologically rich
• Maintains and nurtures their own relationship with Christ through Bible study and prayer

Professional

• Formal training, completed or in progress from a bible college would be an asset, but not required
• Experience leading worship in a congregational setting
• Strong instrumental and/or vocal skills
• Ability to work with and develop others in worship ministry
• A teachable attitude
• A commitment to the vision, mission and values of BBC

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the oversight of the musical worship portion of Sunday Service
• Responsible for leading weekly worship rehearsal as well as ongoing recruitment, training, and development of worship team
• Main Worship Leader for Sunday morning services
• Responsible for selecting a blended (contemporary and traditional) collection of worship songs that are doctrinally sound, Christ centred and Biblically Based
• Work with Senior Pastor and Technical Media Director in organizing and structuring a vision and theme for the Sunday Morning Service
• Responsible for general oversight of worship team incl. weekly schedule of worship personnel
• Participate in organization and execution of special services i.e., Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter Sunday
• Work alongside Children’s Director and Volunteer Choir Director to give oversight of seasonal Children’s Choir
• Responsible for developing and administering annual budget for Worship Ministry
• Participate in weekly team meetings and team building events
