The Worship Pastor/Director leads all worship and production ministries at our church under the direction of our Senior Pastor. The ideal candidate has experience leading worship at a similar sized church and shepherding worship teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Rehearsals & Sunday Service:

• Work with the Senior Pastor to plan the worship service
• Identify, evaluate and incorporate songs that are theologically rich and aesthetically excellent
• Incorporate service elements (e.g. corporate prayer, scripture readings) for exaltation of God’s glory
• Lead weekly worship rehearsals, ensuring that the team is well prepared for each service
• Lead Sunday Worship

Leadership and Management:

• Develop and sharpen biblical vision for the worship and production teams
• Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers
• Ensure all weekend services and special services throughout the year are scheduled
• Train up other gifted worship and production leaders
• Develop an annual ministry budget and be able to work within that budget

Pastoral:

• Minister to the church body at large.
• Care for and shepherd members and attendees.
• Provide discipleship and counsel as needed.
• Play a role in weddings and funerals as needed.
• Shepherd and attend to the personal spiritual growth of Worship & Production Team members.

Tech:

• Direct stage set up and tear down for services and events
• Oversee and develop the production ministry (audio, video, lighting, projection)
• Manage all aspects of the worship environment/aesthetic.
• Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments and production equipment owned by the church

Collaboration:

• Play an active role in ministry staff meetings.
• Lead the staff in growing in their understanding of and appreciation for corporate worship.
• Be available to add value and wisdom in other ministry departments.
• Be available to coach and develop worship leaders for other ministries (e.g., youth).
• Engage relationally with our Ministry and Support Teams.
• Other responsibilities as assigned
