Camp Hermosa, located partway between Goderich and Kincardine, is an overnight camp nestled on the edge of a cliff overlooking the shores of Lake Huron. Founded in 1929 by a small collective of Baptist churches in southwestern Ontario, Camp Hermosa has grown and evolved into a comfortable, rustic setting for campers of all ages (grade 3 – adulthood) to discover God through proximity to nature, and deepen their faith while making friendships that will last a lifetime.

Since the beginning, one of our core beliefs has been that everyone is welcome at Camp Hermosa, as reflected in our slogan “You Belong Here”. We operate from the fundamental conviction that every person is loved and cherished by God. Each individual should feel welcome and safe to explore their unique relationship with our Creator at Camp Hermosa. Moreover, we do our best to make sure camper fees are affordable and offer full bursaries to any families for whom the costs are prohibitive.

We believe that Camp Hermosa physically and spiritually provides a nurturing environment for campers to develop and grow. We are proud to serve and learn alongside generations of families who continue to return to Camp Hermosa year after year to grow in Christ, fellowship, and life experiences.
