Position: Children and Youth Pastor

 
Cheyne Presbyterian Church, nestled in Stoney Creek Ontario, continues to focus on growing family ministry within our church and local community. We have an opening for a Children and Youth Pastor beginning July 1st, 2017
The key emphasis of this position is a family focus. The Children and Youth Pastor will lead ministry teams that disciple children and youth in the Christian faith. These ministry teams influence our young people relationally in regular discipleship and evangelism ministries for both children and youth. The Children and Youth Pastor will equip lay leaders to facilitate healthy small groups that foster discipleship and pastoral care for our young people. This Pastor will work to develop mature teens as leaders. Cheyne has been blessed with a very active children and youth program attracting those from within our church and from our outside community.
Reporting to the Lead Pastor the successful candidate will build relational ministry and develop leadership in family ministry through visioning, planning, execution of plan, discipling of children and youth, and development of lay leaders.
This position also provides personal growth opportunities through being part of a team to plan the once a month Family Sunday Services as well as preaching every two months and twice when the Lead Pastor is on vacation.
