Overview of Church and Community (recommended) LBC is one of four churches in a small rural community in eastern Ontario.  One hour west of Ottawa.  We are a conservative and evangelical congregation and draw our members and adherents from a geographically large area.

 

  Role and Responsibilities We seek preaching from the inspired word of God (the Bible) that is educational well researched and has a strong application component.  We want it to be made relevant to today's cultural environment. You will supervise our youth pastor and provide ministry to our church family and community. Qualifications and Education Requirements 1.     A bachelor degree in theology or bible college graduate is preferred.  Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is vital and growing.

2.     Give evidence of healthy family relationships
 exhibit personable and Godly characteristics
 exhibit the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
 display humility in self and boldness for Christ (prov. 18:12)

3.      training as a counsellor would be a desirable asset.   Preferred Skills  Enthusiastic and excellent teacher of the word of God; an excellent role model of a Christ follower, an encourager, a life long learner, someone who is community minded, prioritizes family and compassionate.
