Description
Summary
Last summer, we had 400 campers join us for Power Up! Camps. The Camp Social Media Coordinator will support camps by capturing photos, videos and creating a vibrant social media space.
Job Responsibilities
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Capture vibrant, engaging photos and videos that attract a following on social media
- Envision and create weekly highlight videos for Summer Camp
- Create promotional and testimonial videos for distribution on social media, website, etc. as directed
- Improve image and video quality using various editing methods
- Organize and maintain photo and video archives
- Attend appropriate educational opportunities
- Communicate and work with camp staff as needed to create post-cards with photos for each camper team for each week post-camp
- Assist in 2-3 Sunday morning programs (scheduled in advance)
- Personal and professional development: Implement & monthly follow-up on SMART goals
- Perform related duties or special projects as assigned
- Complete a brief weekly reflection regarding experience, tasks and self-improvement
- Mandatory abuse prevention training
Skills & Qualities
- A strong understanding of our church’s mission and purpose for camps.
- Must be energetic, self-motivated, and flexible.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with photography, videography, and social media platforms.
- Willingness to accommodate specific individuals who cannot be captured on film.
- Friendliness and the ability to engage with the people they are capturing.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task with strong attention to detail.
