Clinic and Community Health Education Nurse Position
Position Overview
- The Clinic and Community Health Education Nurse is a position of Christian ministry and fulfills a key role in supporting the healthcare services at the clinic and in the community.
- Responsible for oversight and management of Community Education program. The Community Education program is a proactive program of Dawn Centre to support youth and young adults in making informed decisions regarding sexual health and healthy relationships.
- Supporting healthcare sexually transmitted infection (STI) services at Dawn Centre.
- Part-time position, 3 days/week
Qualifications
- Expresses full agreement with Centre’s Purpose, Mission and Vision Statements, the Sanctity of Human Life Statement, and the Statement of Faith and Core Values.
- Expresses full agreement with Centre’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Lifestyle Standards
- Holds an active registered nurse’s license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Maintains personal professional liability insurance.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
- Holds, or is willing to obtain, competency and/or certification in applicable areas of sexual and reproductive health care. Willingness to be certified in the application of point of care obstetrical ultrasound.
- Has previous teaching experience.
