Description

The Position

In support of Redeemer’s vision for expanding academic offerings for non-traditional and professional students, the Manager, Graduate, Adult & Professional Admissions (GAPM) develops and executes recruitment strategies to attract and enroll students into the Bachelor of Education program, certificate programs, microcredentials, graduate programs, and more as the university continues to expand its offerings. The GAPM oversees a growing team of Enrollment Advisors specific to these programs.

This is a 100%FTE role at 37.5 hours / week.

Responsibilities

The duties of Professional Studies Admissions Manager include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Planning & Data Analysis (35%)

  • In partnership with Admissions Operations, develop and identify recruitment strategies for each program in the professional studies portfolio to meet enrollment targets.
  • Request and provide framework for necessary marketing pieces including, but not limited to, webpages, brochures, and emails from inquiry through enrollment.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPI’s) for recruitment to meet enrollment targets, as set by the Director, Admissions and the Budget Committee and to exceed industry standards for recruitment timelines.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze reports to track KPI’s, enrollment funnel, and regularly report findings to Director, Admissions & Financial Aid.
  • Build queries in the CRM, Technolutions Slate, for use by the Professional Studies team
  • Request and plan for any operational changes including the development of new processes/efficiencies, application updates, and new program launches in partnership with Admissions Operations
  • Work collaboratively and as a liaison for internal stakeholders for individual programs, including School of Education, School of Business, and External relations, etc., and provide regular updates to stakeholders throughout the recruitment cycle.
  • Ensure the work of the Professional Studies team connects to and enhances the strategic plan of Redeemer University

Pipeline Development (30%)

  • Develop pipelines, and subsequent pipeline strategies, for individual programs in the portfolio (ex. MBA, NFP Certificate).
  • In partnership with Admissions Operations, build program-specific communications that connect to the unique prospective student and learner
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key external stakeholders, business, and networks for each program. Such partners could look like local schools & school boards for an M.Ed and local business for an MBA and Not-for-profit certificate.
  • Travel throughout the year (approx. One month in total) to key partners & provide regular communication to them throughout the year via newsletters or mail.

Supervision/Training of Enrollment Advisors (25%)

  • Manage, train, and assist a growing team of Enrollment Advisors who recruit for programs within the professional studies portfolio from prospect through enrollment.
  • Equip team members to become recruitment managers of their program or territories, as assigned by the GAPM.
  • Setting priorities and keeping up regular communication among the Professional Studies Team
  • Scheduling and running weekly meetings to prioritize work
  • Weekly one-on-one meeting with each Enrollment Advisor to oversee their individual recruiting efforts, monitor funnel progress and check-in on and provide guidance to other ongoing tasks
  • Performs regular informal and formal reviews with direct reports

Additional Projects and Emerging Opportunities (10%)

  • Regularly reviews and recommends changes to the admissions processes and admissions requirements for programs in portfolio, removing as many barriers as possible to applicants while maintaining the integrity of the admission requirements and ensuring our processes are in line with competing programs.
  • Serves on the working group subcommittee for new program development
  • Is abreast of market research and trends, and makes new program recommendations to Director, Admissions & Financial Aid

  • Experience in collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to provide clear and accurate information across a variety of programs, degrees and admissions processes
  • Comprehensive data management skills – familiarity with data management systems and CRMs
  • Ability to communicate the distinctiveness of the Reformed faith and its relation to the education and mission of the university
  • A proven ability to supervise others and create a culture of thriving

Education, Training & Certifications

  • Masters degree in business administration, higher education, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience within post-secondary education or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience with Christian post-secondary education

Other Requirements

  • Understanding of Redeemer University (mission, values, and Reformed Christian identity)
