The National Benefits Administrator is responsible for managing the YFC Canada Group Benefits and Group Retirement programs for staff across Canada.
This position is remote, part-time (25 hours/week) and reports to the Human Resources Director.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Is a faithful and contributing member of a local church.
  • Prays for and with the YFC Canada Team.
  • Spends time in spiritual reflection and development.
  • Takes bi-annual spiritual retreats.
  • Completion of the YFC Canada Credentialing process within 2 years of start date.
  • Attends YFC Regional and National conferences and meetings when possible.
  • Attends relevant training and enrichment courses as needed.
GROUP BENEFITS & RETIREMENT PLAN MANAGEMENT
  • To champion, promote and administer the Group Benefits and Group Retirement national benefits programs to staff and chapters through exceptional customer service.
  • Group Benefits & Retirement Promotion & Communication:
  • Communicate plan information to chapters to promote the plans and provide timely updates on changes to the services available to plan members.
  • Schedule Chapter meetings (in person or virtual) to present and promote the benefit programs offered through Youth for Christ Canada.
  • Coordinate renewals and plan changes with YFC’s broker and policyholders as needed.
  • Review benefits and retirement plans’ communication and survey material for accuracy and measure their methods and effectiveness in meeting objectives.
  • Compile feedback from Chapters.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Process new enrolments, additions, changes, and terminations.
  • Research answers to staff questions, and concerns and problem-solve any benefit issues that might arise.
  • Respond to chapter inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain a Benefits Information Package and introduction.
  • Use Humi (Human Resource System) for Manulife enrolment and change forms.
  • Train chapters to use Humi to assign enrollment forms, change forms, and upload files.
  • Review YFC HUB annually and send benefits and retirement plan updates and revisions as needed.
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
  • Participate in the annual audit process as it relates to benefits.
  • Complete other assigned duties as required and as time permits.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, along with monthly National Staff meetings.
PRAYER SUPPORTERS/LETTERS
  • Build a base of prayer partners and keep them updated through regular communications and prayer requests. Encourage prayer partners to pray and financially support Youth for Christ Canada.
