Description

All staff positions are on a support-raised salary where the individual must raise 100% of their support.  This means that you would raise the funds for your salary as a missionary with Fight4Freedom through your own contacts, churches, and relationships. We offer support in how to do this through coaching and resources.

The Job

As a Survivor Care Case Manager, you are responsible for all things case management within the aftercare department. You will be working alongside the Survivor Care team as a whole to provide direct case management to individuals who have been impacted by the sex trafficking & sexual exploitation industry. This role also includes working closely with volunteers, staff, survivors, service providers, law enforcement, churches, as well as other organizations that have partnered with Fight4Freedom. This role requires you to be quite flexible with your time as no day/week/month is like another.

What this is:

This document is a compilation of notes about what I’ve learned in this role. You may use it as a reference point to aid you in understanding what case management looks like at Fight4Freedom. These are not necessarily the “rules” but are a current baseline acting as a resource to help launch you into your role.

Specific Duties

  • Provide case management (goal setting, employment and education planning, skills-development workshops, and personal support) to the individuals in our survivor care programming.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and develop support plans with individuals to help them reach their long-term goals.
  • Identify and build partnerships with local housing providers and other service providers.
  • Work with partners in the area of survivor ministry and work with the staff and volunteer team to further develop new and existing ministry areas.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in the database (Airtable).
  • Working with staff and volunteers in the Survivor Care department to ensure a good flow of support.
  • Be available to cover on-call services when needed

Team Support

You are responsible for working closely with the survivor care staff and volunteer team to (1) help build support plans for case management to determine the best forms of support for survivors through highly individualized services; (2) provide advice and support to the team in navigating relationships with survivors; and (3) work through challenges and troubleshoot with the team.

Partnerships

Partnerships are very important in this department. Building relationships with service providers, law enforcement, churches, and other groups is vital to creating a good support network for survivors. These partnerships also act as a bridge when it comes to making the connection with the individuals we work with as they submit the majority of the referrals that come in. This also involves partnership development meetings and stewarding partnerships on a regular basis.

Resources

You are responsible for making connections with various resources and acting as a bridge between these resources and the individuals we are working with. It also includes ensuring good well-rounded care is provided and delivered to those impacted by the sex trafficking/sexual exploitation industry.
